Hair feathers or extensions are real feathers applied to a "chunk" of hair with an extension bead. They are real rooster feathers and therefore are water and heat resistant. They can be washed, blow dried, curled and flat ironed. These are different than fairy hair in that they will absorb whatever dye you use, even purple shampoo, therefore it's not recommended to dye over these, or use colored shampoo.

 

You can apply multiple feathers in one bead for a fuller look. Hair feathers come in natural colors, such as black and grays, browns, and white or pale colors, or they are hand died into a myriad of colors and patterns. Each feather is unique and one-of-a-kind. they can be thick, fluffy, thin, short or long. Feathers can also be cut to the length of your hair. Feathers are not recommended for very short hair styles. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to create a feather extension depending on the amount and placement.

Hair feathers can last 2 weeks to a few months depending on how well you care for them and how fast you shed your hair. Just be gentle when you are bushing as the bead will catch your brush or comb. We recommend saving your feathers once they are removed because they can be reused and are long lasting.​​​​
